Help knit the longest PINK scarf in history
Why we are knitting?
To increase awareness of all cancers especially breast cancer in both men and
women, Jenny Chant decided not to just to knit to charity, she decided to knit the
longest pink scarf known to human kind. This noble feat started in 2003, as a
simple hobby, something to do whist she waited for treatment. But now has grown
into a massive undertaking of enormous proportions. With over 300 knitters signed
up worldwide and this number increasing daily.
We need your help:
 | | Did you know it would take over 279 years if Jenny tried to complete this |
| | admirable task on her own.
|
 | | The scarves will be sold to raise money for more research and pay for free |
| | mammogram for those who cannot afford it.
|
 | | The remaining scarves will be sewn together after the world record has |
| | been reached to make blankets and sent out around the world.

What our knitters are saying:
Mrs Warren from Nuneaton, knitting for the appeal helped with my circulation and
got me moving again. Sadly Mrs Warren passed away, she will be missed and her
contributions to the appeal will never be forgotten.
Mrs Buckler (95 years young) from the UK, What a wonderful idea to start the appeal
where everyone can take part and it is for such a good cause, I was very happy to
help. Jenny and I became good friends but after an issue with health I am no longer
able to contribute, I encourage all to get involved.
Mrs Amos and friends, Potter Bars, The girls and I have so much fun knitting for the
appeal we meet regularly and we all enjoy comparing our progress and have a good
old natter.
Mrs Cadle, 67 from South Africa, the appeal gives me a great reason to keep active
and keep my knitting skills up, whilst doing something important for cancer
awareness.
